Mechanism of Action: How It Works
Dermol 500 Lotion combines moisturising and antimicrobial actions.
Liquid paraffin and isopropyl myristate help soften the skin and form a protective layer that reduces water loss. This helps rehydrate dry skin and maintain its protective barrier.
Benzalkonium chloride and chlorhexidine dihydrochloride provide antimicrobial activity, helping reduce bacteria on the skin that may aggravate eczema or contribute to secondary infection when itchy skin is scratched

Avoid contact with the eyes. Rinse thoroughly with water if accidental contact occurs.

Seek medical assessment if the skin becomes increasingly painful, hot, swollen, develops pus or fails to improve.
Fabric contaminated with emollient residue can catch fire more easily. Keep clothing, bedding and dressings away from cigarettes, open flames and other ignition sources.
Take care when using the lotion in a bath or shower to avoid slipping.
