Visanne 2mg Tablets 28s contain dienogest 2mg, a synthetic progestogen used for the treatment of endometriosis. Endometriosis is a condition in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus and can cause pelvic pain, painful periods and other symptoms.

Visanne is designed for continuous oral treatment. Each tablet contains 2mg of dienogest, and the tablets are taken every day without a break between packs.

How does Visanne work?

Dienogest is a progestogen. It acts on progesterone receptors and produces effects that reduce the growth and activity of endometrial tissue. By suppressing ovarian hormonal stimulation and creating a less favourable hormonal environment for endometriotic tissue, dienogest can reduce endometriosis-associated symptoms over time.
