Overview
Betafen Plus Syrup 60ml is an oral combination preparation containing ibuprofen and paracetamol. These medicines have complementary actions in relieving pain and reducing fever, while ibuprofen also helps reduce inflammation.
It is prescribed for pain associated with toothache, period pain, musculoskeletal disorders, rheumatic conditions, injuries, headache, fever, sinusitis and flu-like symptoms.
Active Ingredients and how it works
Ibuprofen: A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that relieves pain, reduces inflammation and lowers fever.Inhibits cyclo-oxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), which participate in the production of prostaglandins. These chemical mediators contribute to pain, inflammation and fever. Reducing prostaglandin production helps relieve pain, decrease inflammatory swelling and lower elevated body temperature
Paracetamol: An analgesic and antipyretic that relieves pain and reduces fever. Acts primarily in the central nervous system to relieve pain and reduce fever.

Betafen Plus may be used for symptomatic relief of:
Headache.
Toothache and dental pain.
Muscular aches and backache.
Period pain, where appropriate.

Fever and discomfort associated with flu-like illnesses.
