Trampa Tablets 30’s contain a combination of paracetamol 325mg and tramadol hydrochloride 37.5mg per tablet. This combination provides analgesic effects through two complementary mechanisms and is used for the management of moderate to moderately severe pain in adults.
Paracetamol, also known as acetaminophen, is a non-opioid analgesic and antipyretic that helps reduce pain and fever. Tramadol is a centrally acting opioid analgesic that reduces the perception and transmission of pain. It also affects the reuptake of certain neurotransmitters, including serotonin and noradrenaline, which contributes to its analgesic effect.
Uses
Trampa is indicated for the management of moderate to moderately severe pain in adults. It may be prescribed when a combination of paracetamol and tramadol is considered appropriate for the patient's pain.
It should not be treated as an ordinary over-the-counter painkiller because tramadol is an opioid analgesic and can cause drowsiness, dependence and other clinically important adverse effects.
Precautions and Warnings
Tramadol can cause drowsiness, dizziness and impaired alertness. Avoid driving, operating machinery or performing activities requiring full alertness until you know how the medicine affects you.
Avoid alcohol while taking Trampa because alcohol can increase sedation and other central nervous system effects.
Tramadol may cause dependence and should therefore be used at the prescribed dose and for the prescribed duration. Do not increase the dose yourself or use the medicine for longer than directed.
Side Effects
Possible side effects include nausea, vomiting, constipation, dizziness, drowsiness, weakness and dry mouth.
Seek urgent medical attention if severe breathing difficulty, extreme sleepiness, seizures, confusion, severe allergic reaction or other serious symptoms occur.
