Clarityne Syrup 5mg/5mL 100mL contains loratadine, an antihistamine used to relieve symptoms associated with allergic conditions. Each 5mL of syrup contains 5mg of loratadine. It is suitable for adults and children aged 2 years and above when used according to the appropriate dosing instructions.
Loratadine is a selective peripheral H1-receptor antagonist. Histamine is one of the substances released by the body during an allergic reaction and contributes to symptoms such as sneezing, itching, runny nose and watery eyes. By blocking the action of histamine at H1 receptors, loratadine helps reduce these allergy symptoms.
USES / INDICATIONS
Clarityne Syrup is used for symptomatic relief of:
- Allergic rhinitis
- Sneezing and runny nose associated with allergies
- Itchy or watery eyes associated with allergies
- Chronic urticaria (hives)
