FULL PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Optilait-2 Baby Milk (PWD) 900g is a powdered follow-on milk formula intended for babies from 6 months onwards. It is designed to complement a baby's diet as complementary foods are introduced and nutritional needs continue to change.
At around six months, babies begin transitioning from an exclusively milk-based diet to a more varied diet that includes appropriate complementary foods. A follow-on formula can form part of this dietary transition while providing nutrients from milk alongside an increasingly varied diet.
Optilait-2 is intended for use after the first six months and should not be used as a replacement for breast milk during the first six months of life.
Nutritional support
Follow-on formulas provide a combination of nutrients including protein, carbohydrates and fats, together with vitamins and minerals needed during infancy.
These nutrients contribute to normal growth and development when provided as part of an appropriate overall diet. As babies develop, formula feeding should be accompanied by suitable complementary foods appropriate for their age.
Who is Optilait-2 suitable for?
Optilait-2 is intended for infants from 6 months of age who are being fed follow-on formula.
It is not intended for newborns or babies below 6 months. Parents and caregivers should follow appropriate infant-feeding guidance and introduce complementary foods according to the baby's developmental stage.
If a baby has a known or suspected cow's milk allergy, food allergy, persistent digestive problems or another medical condition affecting feeding, consult a qualified healthcare professional before changing or introducing formula.
Storage
Store the unopened powdered formula in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, excessive heat and moisture.
Keep the container securely closed after opening and use the product within the period specified on the packaging. Always check the expiry date before use.
Do not use the formula if the package is damaged, the powder has become damp or the product appears contaminated.
Important feeding considerations
Powdered formula is not sterile, so careful preparation and hygiene are particularly important when preparing feeds for babies. Clean hands, feeding equipment and appropriate preparation practices can help reduce the risk of contamination.
If the baby develops persistent vomiting, diarrhoea, feeding difficulties, poor weight gain, a rash or other concerning symptoms after starting or changing formula, seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
