Overview
Rubipan Balm 20g is a topical analgesic balm. It is designed to provide temporary relief from muscular aches and pains, joint discomfort and backache. Its aromatic ingredients produce a cooling and warming sensation when applied to the skin.
Mechanism of Action: How It Works
Rubipan Balm works mainly as a topical counterirritant. Menthol activates cold-sensitive receptors in the skin, creating a cooling sensation. Methyl salicylate and capsicum oleoresin stimulate sensory pathways that produce warming sensations and can modify how pain signals are perceived.
Together, these ingredients provide competing sensory signals that may temporarily reduce the perception of minor muscular and joint pain. The balm's effects are local and temporary; it does not cure the underlying cause of pain.
